Deliver in or Collect
Whether you have a need to collect 3 bags of shredding once a month or have 200 old dusty archive boxes collected from an attic storage area Quick Office Shred will be more than happy to help. Some clients prefer to deliver confidential waste directly into our shredding offices and that is not a problem but equally we can also sort collection. We provide free shredding bags for all our customers.
Can I Use My Own Boxes or Bags?
We are able to collect paper in any type of box or bag so long as it is strong enough to transport the paperwork within it. All costings are based on a standard shredding bag filled below the line or a standard A4 archive carton. For any collection larger than this the volume would be averaged out to calculate the correct number of bags or cartons that you would be charged for.
Security Seals
It is very easy to overfill a shredding bag and this can cause both Health & Safety and Security issues if this happens. To prevent paper from spilling out or bags being too heavy to lift it is recommended that no bag is filled above the designated line and that they are then sealed. Quick Shred is able to supply the relevant seals to you. Subject to your level of security these can be plain or numbered seals.
Certificate of Destruction
As part of our on going fulfilment of our quality programme we are obliged to issue a Certificate of Destruction for any confidential shredding that we complete. This will be emailed as a PDF document directly to the relevant person. It will advise the quantity that's been shredded on what date and who has carried this out.
How To Book
Should your volume be small collection can be booked by contacting your nearest depot or emailing sales@quick-shred.co.uk. For larger quantities it may well be worth a representative visiting your premises to determine the volume and we will be more than happy to arrange that. Alternatively you can also email us photos of anything you require to be shredded and we may be able to assist from these images.
Wheelie Bins
Keeping Confidential Paperwork Secure
With increasing pressure to ensure that confidential client information is not visible within the workplace many companies are looking to provide confidential waste collection areas within their offices. Simply putting waste paper into a normal bin is just not an option these days for the majority of companies. Lockable wheelie bins are a practical solution and they can also be used for general paper, envelopes and card folders which will help with your environmental policy. They must not be used for food, metals or plastics.
Wheelie Bins
If you can picture a normal wheelie bin that you would use for home waste, this is similar to what we would supply you with to solve any issues as per the above but with two main differences. In the lid of each bin there is a narrow cut out slot where your staff would insert any paperwork. Just underneath the lip of the main lid there is a locking mechanism. Normally we would keep all keys so that none of your staff can access the unit; although it is possible to let you have a copy should you require this.
Regular Collections
It is normal to collect the wheelie bin or bins every four weeks, usually on a pre-arranged date that is convenient to you. We will simply collect the full bin and replace it with a new clean empty bin on site with minimal fuss, noise or interruption. You can have just one bin or several bins on each floor of your office; subject to the number of staff that you employ.
Certificate of Destruction
As part of our on going fulfillment of our quality programme we are obliged to issue a Certificate of Destruction for any confidential shredding every time that we collect the wheelie bins from your office. This will be emailed as a pdf document directly to the relevant person. It will advise the quantity of bins that have been collected and shredded; on what date and who has carried this out.

Office Consoles
Keeping Your Office Paperwork Secure
With the increasing pressures on business's to ensure that confidential client information is not on show in open bins within the workplace, companies are now looking to provide confidential waste collection areas within their offices and corridors. The practice of allowing waste paper to be put into a normal waste bin is just not an option these days for the many companies. Lockable office consoles are a very sensible solution. The consoles can also be used for general paper, envelopes and any card folders that can assist you with meeting your environmental policy. The consoles must not be used for food, metals or plastic waste.
Modern Office Consoles
An office console is a modern piece of furniture measuring 33.5" High x 21.5" Wide and 15.5" Deep. It can be supplied in several colours but beech seems to be the most popular and as a result Quick Shred keeps these in stock. Each cabinet has a lockable front door and within the cabinet are four locating pegs onto which a shredding bag is secured in the lid of each bin there is a narrow cut out slot where your staff would insert any paperwork.
